One great way to enjoy the fall weather is by walking around the neighborhood and visiting all of the local art galleries in Borderstan. Get listings and details for all 13 galleries below.

Contemporary Wing at 1412 14th Street NW

  • Of The People” opens October 27 through November 23. Elizabeth Catlett, Renée Cox, Shepard Fairey, Guerrilla Girls, Ralf Schmerberg, Bruce High Quality Foundation, Kareem Gouda “Dokhan”, El Teneen. “In conjunction with the November Presidential election, Contemporary Wing in DC will host, Of the People, an exhibition by contemporary artists whose work is activist or political so we can provide a forum for artistic expression just blocks away from the White House and the National Mall. For Of the People, Contemporary Wing asks invited artists to create a new work or works that respond to “the state of world democracy in November 2012.” (Contemporary Wing). It is an off-site show at 1250 9th Street, NW (9 and N)

Curator’s Office at 1515 14th Street NW

  • “Paintings by Gary Fisher and Anne Manley” runs through November 18.

  • “My Barbarian Broke People’s Baroque Peoples’ Theater” series of exhibitions includes “Flat Busted Wig Beauty Window Fatale,” an installation designed for Transformer. The series runs through November 10.
