Yes, Halloween is over, but that doesn’t mean the spooky season needs to end. Today, November 1, is Dia de Los Muertos, and Acre 121 is celebrating the traditional Mexican holiday this weekend.
On Friday, November 2, Acre 121 (1400 Irving Street NW #109) will host local alt-country musicians The Highballers to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. The event starts at 9 pm and includes drink specials, seasonal brews from Magic Hat and a costume contest.
The Highballers will play a mixture of original tunes from their upcoming album and songs from their dearly departed musical heroes such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Gram Parsons.
