826DC, a local nonprofit that helps kids develop their reading and writing skills, is throwing its annual holiday benefit, “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” on Wednesday, December 12, at Veracruz Gallery (2108 Vermont Avenue NW).

The evening will include food, a select open bar, dancing and music by R E V E R B E R A T I O N. There will also be a raffle with an abundance of prizes, including a week in South America and a case of wine from Grape Crate.

Tickets to the event are $60 in advance and $75 at the door. All tickets purchased are tax deductible donations.

“Baby It’s Cold Outside” will begin at 8 pm and will end at 2 am. Every body at the party means more books, materials, programs and opportunity for the kids 826DC serves.
