Tonight, Shaw’s newest music and performance venue, 9th and Beats (1219 9th Street NW), is hosting a themed variety show that includes a bit of comedy, music, poetry and performance art.
The Encyclopedia Show DC features six contributors and an available full bar and menu, and the evening will be hosted by Kevin Phillips and Shivali Chevtastic.
Contributors to the evening include:
- Pages: 2010 and 2012 DC Grand Slam champion
- Kevin Boggs: Storytelling Extraordinaire
- Sarah Lawson: founder of the Beltway Poetry Slam
- Kyle Martin: comedian from Bear, DE
- Drew Law: host of Graffiti DC Poetry Slam
- Jamel Johnson: professional nonprofit comedian
Tickets to the show are $10 and are available online. Doors at 7:30 pm, show starts at 8 pm.
