The Adams Morgan hemp shop infamously raided by D.C. Police in 2011 and ultimately closed is coming back to life.

In a tweet sent out yesterday evening, Capitol Hemp announced its triumphant return:

According to the shop’s Twitter profile, it will carry “hemp clothing, bags, paper, pipes, vaporizers and more.”

  1. This actually raises an interesting question – I never heard anything in all the changes in DC marijuana law about “paraphernalia” – maybe I just missed it since most of the coverage focused on how much weed a person could have on them without being arrested. Can Capitol Hemp now sell their pipes and vaporizers freely?

  2. they can now to people over 21. before they were technically “tobacco” pipes.

  3. Interesting – thanks for the reply! Something tells me their business model will be a bit more successful this time around…
