A pedestrian was struck by a car at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue NW and Dupont Circle, say D.C. Fire and EMS officials.

The pedestrian was struck some time before 3:45 p.m. today and transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said a D.C. Fire and EMS worker on the scene.

Before I saw the picture I knew it would be that corner of the circle. I used to walk across the circle during the evening rush and I’d routinely see drivers (looked like mostly tourists) apparently become confused by which lanes are green and which are red and blow right through a crosswalk. I don’t know how you fix that, but something needs to be done to make the lights clearer.
