Five Injured After Car Flips in Columbia Heights

(Updated: 2:25 p.m.) Five people are injured after a car overturned at the 1100 block of Columbia Road NW around 11:51 a.m. today, say D.C. Fire and EMS officials.
At 12:29 p.m., D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted that five people were transported to a hospital from the scene with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police said the family suffered mild abrasions.
A loose wheel caused the car to collide with a car parked on the left side of the street and overturn, an officer on the scene said.
A tow truck dragged the vehicle away from the block around 1 p.m.
The road reopened around 2:15 p.m.
