Suspected Bike Thief Caught on Camera in Mt. Pleasant
Police are seeking a person of interest filmed in connection with a burglary that occurred in Mount Pleasant last week.
Police say an empty home was burglarized on the 3300 block of Brown Street NW last Thursday at approximately 2:11 p.m.
In a surveillance video released today by police, a man wearing a black shirt and jeans can be seen riding up to the home on a bike. The man appears to peer inside the residence and fidget with the door before returning to his bicycle.
The footage then cuts to a another clip that appears to show the same man carrying a red bicycle from residence.
Police said the suspected thief fled northbound on Brown Street NW after the burglary.
