Two men were shot and injured early Sunday morning near Cardozo Education Campus, say D.C. Police.
According to police, the men were standing near the 2300 block of 11th Street NW around 2:30 a.m. when an unknown person opened fire on them. Both men ran for cover, but were hit by bullets while fleeing.
Both victims were transported from the scene to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A third victim told police he woke up to the sound of stray bullets hitting his home. That man was not injured during the shooting.
Authorities did not release any suspect or related arrest information in connection with the shooting.
