When will the city-wide crackdown on prostitution end? Only D.C. Police know.

Authorities announced last night they had arrested seven more men for prostitution-related crimes in Northwest and downtown D.C. and charged them with with solicitation of prostitution.

The latest arrests brings the running tally to 85 men arrested for prostitution-related crimes since July 14.

The arrests are part of a sting operation aimed at nabbing men who search for sex workers online, reported The Washington Post.

Police say the operation is still ongoing.

  1. I really don’t understand why they are bragging so hard about these arrests. If they insist on making a big scene about their successes, I’d personally rather see them brag about murderers caught. Or drunk drivers taken off the road. Or something that actually makes me feel safer for having read it.

  2. They should really put some of that effort into catching the thugs who are stabbing and slashing people in this latest string of muggings. It is simply pathetic that they’re focusing on this.

  3. this is the human trafficking division making these arrests – they wouldn’t be working on murders anyway. And prostitution and related crimes are a big deal in the eastern part of borderstan. . . .
