Pedestrian Struck, Critically Injured in Shaw

A pedestrian was hit by a car and critically injured near the intersection of 9th and R streets NW, D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted around 12:26 p.m.

D.C. Police have since reopened 9th and R streets NW to French Street NW.

  1. If DDOT is actually interested in preventing death and injury (for every type of mode involved), streets like 9th have to go. 4 lanes to 3. Already supported by decades of data.
