Persons of Interest Filmed in Connection With Shaw Homicide
Six persons of interest were filmed in connection with the deadly shooting that left an American University graduate dead in Shaw on Saturday afternoon.
The video, released today by police, is split into two parts.
The first part shows a vehicle connected to the shooting. Police are urging those who may have seen the vehicle before or after the shooting to come forward.
The second part appears to show footage from a shootout that occurred near the intersection of 7th and S streets NW on Saturday.
In that part of the video, several men, who appear to be clutching handguns, can be seen running with their heads down, seemingly scrambling for cover.
American University graduate Matthew Shlonsky was killed in the crossfire, say police.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Your assistance is appreciated by your community.
