Drag kings and queens will take to the soccer field for Federal Triangles Soccer Club’s annual drag match to benefit the DC Center.

Möbius Strip, Booby Trap and Psychic Subcreatures
Black Cat (1811 14th St. NW)
7:30 p.m.

Post-genre, dance punk, synth punk bands collide in a locally sourced show at Black Cat. Tickets are $10.


Erotica Slam Three
Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe (1517 Connecticut Ave. NW)
7:30 p.m.

Sexy love stories and erotic poems abound during the first annual Erotica Slam. Each piece will last less than three minutes and the audience will vote on the best story at the end of the show.

The all-day convention on natural parenting will feature over two dozen sessions and workshops.

Republic of Kolache Grand Opening

Republic of Kolache’s first public batch of the Czech pastry popular in Texas will be served until they run out. 

The Unified Scene Theater Open House
The Unified Scene Theater (80 T St. NW)

The opening party for the new Unified Scene Theater, a comedy theater in Bloomingdale. 

The Welcoming Committee U Street Bar Crawl

The Welcoming Committee, an LGBT events group, organized drink and snack specials at several U Street bars, ending at Nellie’s. Tickets available online.


Storytelling 101 Student Showcase

Story District’s Storytelling 101 students take the stage at Acre 121 for the first time after four weeks of class.
