Man Connected to Car Break-in Caught on Video Near U Street
A person of interest connected with a July car break-in near U Street NW has been caught on video.
Surveillance video released today by D.C. Police shows a man cycling up to and inspecting a parked car near the 1300 block of W Street NW on July 24. The man appears to set off the car’s alarm before riding away on his bike.
A short time later, the man returns on foot and approaches the car again. He looks both ways, then appears to fiddle with the car door, which pops open after a few seconds. The man then grabs a bag from the car and runs away on foot.
