The Golden Triangle BID and D.C. Fire and EMS officials have made it a goal to teach at least 200 people how to perform CPR next week.
Instructors will train residents in the skill of Hands Only CPR to the beat of the Bee Gees’ disco song “Stayin’ Alive” at Farragut Square (Connecticut Avenue and K Street) next Friday.
“September is National Preparedness Month and this CPR training is an excellent way for people to be ready,” said Golden Triangle BID Executive Director Leona Agouridis in a statement. “Farragut Fridays are a popular gathering time for people in the BID to enjoy lunch, entertainment and other activities, so we thought this would be the best way to reach as many people as possible.”
Each training will be 20 minutes long. Participants can walk up without an appointment and join a session.
Training sessions will be open to workers and residents in the area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
