ANC 1B is on the hunt for two more commissioners.

The D.C. Board of Elections published vacancies for the commission’s 1B-05 and 1B-06 seats last Friday.

The ANC has experienced quite a bit of change as of late. The commission welcomed its newest member, LaKisha Brown, earlier this month, but posted a vacancy for its 1B-10 seat in mid-August.

Want to be an ANC commissioner? To qualify for the election, candidates must live in either 1B-05 or 1B-06.

Potential candidates must also solicit signatures from local residents.

If no one applies for candidacy, the D.C. Board of Elections will continue to declare the vacancy until a candidate steps forward.

Locals can pick up nominating petitions at the D.C. Board of Elections office located at 441 4th Street NW.
