Man Shot and Killed Near Mount Pleasant

A man was shot and killed near Mount Pleasant last night, said D.C. Police.

The man was approached by another man and shot in the parking lot of the Harvard Towers high-rise at 1845 Harvard Street NW around 7:44 p.m. last night, said police in an e-mail this morning.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle, police added.

The victim was found in a vehicle on the 1800 block of Irving Street NW. Police said he was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Police are still on the lookout for the suspect, described as “Black man wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, bald and in his 30s.”
