Crime Report: Suspected Dupont Circle Serial Burglar Arrested
Police arrested a man they say committed a series of hotel burglaries on the 1900 block of Connecticut Avenue NW between Sept. 19 and Oct. 2, the department announced this morning.
44-year-old Kevin Lorenzo McCommons of Northeast D.C. was charged with several counts of first-degree burglary and unlawful entry in addition to credit card fraud and theft.
Information on McCommons’ lawyer was not immediately available.
Other crimes that occurred over the weekend:
Two shootings occurred over the weekend, said police. A person shot a woman in the arm following an argument in Dupont Circle late Saturday night. Additionally, a person was wounded in a shooting in Columbia Heights yesterday, tweeted police at 6:32 p.m last night.

Police also responded to reports of a fight at the intersection of 14th and V St. NW last night.

Police reported several robberies throughout the day yesterday. According to authorities, a man robbed someone in Columbia Heights yesterday afternoon.

Additionally, police said three men robbed a person near Logan Circle, and two thieves snatched a purse in Shaw yesterday evening.
