Chicago Mayor Celebrates Cubs Victory at Shaw Sports Bar

(Updated at 11:58 a.m.) Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel visited a Shaw bar famous for Chicago-style hot dogs, Old Style beer and Malort last night.

While it’s unclear whether the mayor was indeed partying as hard as journalist Justin Glawe implied — and no, we won’t wade into speculation — Ivy and Coney co-owner Josh Saltzman said the mayor did visit the bar to watch the Chicago Cubs stomp the Pittsburgh Pirates during last night’s National League wild-card game.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Emanuel was in town attending a crime summit.
