Crime Report: Knife-Wielding Robber Arrested in Shaw
Police arrested a man for flashing a knife and robbing a person in Shaw early yesterday morning, said Third District Commander Jeffrey Carroll.
According to Carroll, the alleged robber flashed a knife and took a person’s cell phone near the intersection of 10th Street and Rhode Island Avenue NW around midnight yesterday.
Police were able to locate the suspect a short time later and place arrest him for robbery, Carroll added.
Similarly, another cell phone robber was arrested around the same time on the 1400 block of U Street NW, said Carroll.

Police said two robberies occurred near Shaw and Logan Circle early yesterday morning.

Police were also on the lookout for two alleged robbers in Columbia Heights on Saturday night.
