The Dirty Goose

A new bar catering to the LGBT community might open on the U Street corridor in the coming months.

The Dirty Goose is slated to open at 913 U St. NW this spring, co-owner Daniel Honeycutt said in a brief interview today. The bar will have multiple floors, including a roof deck, he said. It also will serve brunch.

The bar, which has a tagline of “Birds of a Feather Drink Together,” is within a block of gay club Town Danceboutique and Nellie’s Sports Bar, which often holds LGBT events.

Is it just me, or other than Town and Nellie’s, has the LGBT community moved on from U St? It’s really too bad that neighborhood turned into Frat Row.

      it is just you

Uh, Nellie’s doesn’t just “often hold LGBT events”. Nellie’s IS a gay bar.

Don’t let the drunk straight girls who stumble in Saturday nights so that they can gawk at the crazy gays fool you.
