What You Need to Know for Thanksgiving in the District

Although Thanksgiving is only nine days away, it isn’t too late in D.C. to snag a reservation for a turkey dinner or order the bird, pumpkin pie and other fixings for a feast at home.

We’ve gathered the information for several restaurants and stores in our coverage area that are vying for your Thanksgiving business.

Here is what you need to know to prepare for a D.C. Thanksgiving:

Side dishes paying homage to Hanks films include That Stuffing You Do (oyster or apple-cranberry stuffing); Joe Vs The Potatoes (roasted garlic & cream cheese mashed potatoes);  Turnips & Hooch (whiskey, miso and maple turnips); The Green Mile Beans (green beans with chipotle pesto); You’ve Got Kale (creamed kale, bacon & parmesan) and Catch Me If You Yam (sweet potatoes, pecans, brown sugar glaze.)
