Teens Beat, Rob Gay Couple on Green Line — A group of about a dozen teenagers beat and robbed a gay man and his partner last month as they rode on a Green Line train between the Fort Totten and Shaw-Howard University Metro stations, one of the victims said. At least one of the attackers used a gay slur. One of the men said the train operator ignored their calls to stop the train and call police. [Washington Blade]

Eatonville to Become Mule Bone — The “new and exciting venue” replacing Eatonville at 2121 14th St. NW will go by Mule Bone, which is named after a play by Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston.
