Police Arrest Second Person in Matthew Shlonsky Homicide
Police have arrested a second person in connection with the shooting at the Shaw-Howard Metro station that left 23 year-old American University graduate Matthew Shlonsky dead in August.
Shlonsky was killed when he was caught in the path of a drive-by shooting that occurred near the intersection of 7th and S streets NW on the afternoon of Aug. 15.
Authorities this evening announced the arrest of 19-year-old Andre Dudley. Police have charged Dudley with second-degree murder in connection to the homicide.
The first suspect in the homicide, 19-year-old Marcus King, turned himself in to police in August. King also faces a second-degree murder charge.
