Another week gone by, another weekend here. When that clock hits five, it’s time to hurry home, take off your pants and pop open a beer.

Also: It’s December? Seriously? It feels more like April. And tomorrow’s supposed to be even nicer than today with highs in the upper 60s and sunny skies. So, get outside this weekend.

Nerd Nite: Star Wars Edition

Nerds like Star Wards? B-but … that’s cool now. Attend this event to meet and greet with fellow nerds, Captain Rex and a normal stormtrooper.

Life Asset Holiday Market

11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday

Vendors will sell artwork, hand-made items and a variety of services.

Pleasant Pops Holiday Bazaar

Sunday at 11 a.m.

Cookie decorating, Hudson and Crane scarf sale and free pops.

Cheap Art Sale
La Casa, 3166 Mt. Pleasant St. NW
1 p.m. Saturday

This is an annual event that showcases work by local artists and supports community organizations.

Refurbished Bike Sale

Phoenix Bikes will sell refurbished bikes and new bike gear.

Winter Wonderland

Holiday cookie and cupcake decorating stations, arts and crafts, holiday themed games, a raffle and of course, photo opportunities with Santa Clause.

Stuff you should know:

  • Overnight road work continues on Georgia Avenue NW until tomorrow.
  • Red, White and Basil (1781 Florida Ave. NW) is now open for lunch.
  • Red line trains will run every 18-20 minutes, with single tracking between Dupont and Van-Ness. But Red lines trains will run every 18 minutes, and Yellow and Green line trains will run on normal weekend intervals, according to Metro.
