Second Person Arrested in Fatal Shooting Near Mount Pleasant
D.C. Police have arrested a second person connected to the shooting death of a man near Mount Pleasant in September.
Authorities said Amanda Turner, 28, participated in the shooting that killed 25-year-old Charles Welch on the 1800 block of Harvard Street NW on the evening of Sept. 19.
Emergency crews found Welch suffering from a gunshot wound on the night of the shooting at 7:44 p.m. Welch was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where died of his injuries.
Turner was arrested and charged with first-degree murder yesterday. Police arrested the first suspect, 27-year-old Antonio Brown, in September.
