D.C. Police over the weekend announced the arrest of a man suspected of breaking into businesses in Columbia Heights, Mount Pleasant and Adams Morgan.

Authorities say Jerry Kibler Jr., 45, broke into buildings on 13th Street, 14th Street, 18th Street and Lanier Place in a burglary spree that began on Nov. 10.

In one instance, Kibler allegedly shattered a window and snagged an empty cash drawer from Flying Fish Coffee and Tea (3064 Mount Pleasant St. NW). During another burglary, police said Kibler stole $230 in cash, an Amazon Kindle, a Samsung cell phone and Newport cigarettes from the Uptown Mart at 2701 14th St. NW.

Kibler was charged with 11 counts of burglary, police said, but the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with more information about the case to call them at 202-727-9099.

Information on Kibler’s lawyer was not immediately available.
