Violent Young Robbers Strike at Shaw Shop
A pack of 10 kids took part in a violent robbery at a Shaw store last night, police said.
The crime happened at a shop on the 1900 block of 7th Street NW about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. A MetroPCS cellphone dealer, a CVS Pharmacy and other businesses are in the vicinity.

The name of the store and other details about the robbery weren’t immediately available.
A group of four teen boys and young men also participated in another violent robbery in Shaw last night, according to authorities.
That crime occurred on the 400 block of M Street NW about 7 p.m. The area is about three blocks east of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Further information about the robbery wasn’t immediately available.
Late Saturday night, two thieves robbed a man at gunpoint in Shaw, too.
The robbery happened on the 800 block of R Street NW, just west of an entrance to the Shaw-Howard Metro station, police said.
The victim was walking up to his apartment went two men approached him, according to authorities. One of the men then flashed a handgun, and the duo proceeded to empty the victim’s pockets before fleeing.

Police also made 10 early morning arrests to combat prostitution in and around Shaw on Friday and Saturday, according to authorities.
Cops focused on the intersections of M and 8th streets NW and M and 12th streets NW as part of the operation.
