Peet’s Coffee Aims for Summer Opening on 14th Street NW
(Updated on Friday, Jan. 15) National coffee chain Peet’s could open a location on 14th Street NW as early as this summer.
Peet’s Coffee and Tea is set to move in to 1829 14th St. NW, said Trish Davis, the company’s regional manager for the Mid-Atlantic.
“We are very excited to join this bustling neighborhood and anticipate opening mid summer, all going well,” Davis said in an e-mail to Borderstan. “Construction always brings some surprises, but hopefully nothing that will cause a delay.”
Celso Rivera, an architect working on the space, and Joe Spinelli, a restaurant consultant involved with helping Peet’s open, also confirmed the coffee company would move in later this year.
When it opens, the new Peet’s will be located on the same block as Black Cat, Ted’s Bulletin, Bar Pilar and Source.
