Cops Nab Teen in Fatal Shaw Shooting

Police have apprehended an 18-year-old teenager in connection with a deadly shooting in Shaw last week.

David Davalier Harvey of Southeast D.C. was arrested Friday night and charged with first-degree felony murder while armed in the homicide earlier that day, according to authorities.

Information on Harvey’s lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

Matthew Shevlin, a 37 year-old resident of Northwest D.C., had a gunshot wound when police found him on the 400 block of M Street NW about 10 a.m. Friday, according to authorities. He later was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The shooting didn’t appear to be random, police said.
