S2 bus travels past snow on 16th Street NW

Metrobus service is slated to get closer to normal tomorrow. But buses still won’t run on some routes.

Only buses on “moderate snow routes” will operate Wednesday.

On 16th Street, only the S4 buses will have normal service. The S2 and s9 buses will take detours, and the S1 bus won’t run.

For U Street, the 90, 92 and 93 buses will operate normally. But the 96 buses will take a detour, and the X3 buses won’t go out.

All other bus service information for tomorrow is available on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s website.

WMATA noted today:

Under the moderate service plan, Metrobus service will be available on 160 regional commuter routes. Additionally, Metro will run the 32 Metrobus school trips to the extent possible, given road conditions.

Bus riders are advised that even on routes where service is operating, delays and detours are possible due to road conditions.

Additional bus routes will be restored when it is safe to do so.

Metrorail also will have service for the Red, Orange, Blue, Green and Yellow lines, starting at 5 a.m. tomorrow. But trains still might not run on the Silver Line.
