The liquor, wine and beer store will donate $5 to Garrison Elementary for every purchase of select red, white or sparkling wines from Feb. 1-10. Buyers will automatically be entered into a raffle.

Stuffed marmot Potomac Phil will climb — or be hoisted — upon his pulpit and predict whether we’ll have six more weeks of winter and political gridlock. There will also be accordion music, a puppet show and free cookies and coffee.

Mount Pleasant Library Book Sale Evening Preview

Book lovers will come together at the Mount Pleasant Library the first opportunity to purchase books in advance of the library’s book sale sale. Light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.


Winter Clothing Drive Happy Hour

Donate a hat, scarf, coat or pair of gloves and receive a free drink on the house. All collected items will be given to Coalition for the Homeless.

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic

The legendary funkmaster will take the stage at Howard Theatre to prove he’s still a force to be reckoned with.

6th St. NW/Route 1 Protected Bike Lane Public Meeting
KIPP DC (421 P St. NW)

DDOT officials will present 6th St. NW/Route 1 design alternatives with a formal presentation at 1 p.m. Guests will be able to talk directly with DDOT staff and submit formal comments before and after the meeting.
