Cops Nab Man Wanted in Armed Robberies in Mass. Ave. Area
Police have apprehended a 22-year-old man suspected of robbing parking garage workers at gunpoint in the vicinity of Massachusetts Avenue NW last week, authorities announced today.
Antwan Gilmore of Southeast D.C. was arrested yesterday and charged with armed robbery. He had a warrant out for his arrest.
The suspect went up to parking garage employees on the 1600 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW and the 1100 block of 13th Street NW the morning of Jan. 26, police said. At each location, he then flashed a handgun and robbed the workers of personal belongings and took cash from their businesses, according to authorities.
Information on Gilmore’s lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
