Runners to Ditch (Most) Clothes for Charity Race Near White House
People only wearing their underwear will brave the cold to run for charity near the White House next weekend.
The annual Cupid’s Undie Run is set to return to the District Feb. 13 for a one-mile sprint down 18th Street NW from the Eden nightclub (1720 I St. NW) to Constitution Avenue NW. Registration for the race, which benefits the Children’s Tumor Foundation, costs $45 until tomorrow and $55 after Friday.
According to the run’s website:
This February, help put the hilarity in charity with hundreds of crazed runners taking to the streets in celebration of their fundraising for the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
You’ll be a part of something great. Last year Cupid’s raised over $3.5 Million to #EndNF and we’re relying on YOU to join and make this year’s fundraising (and party) the biggest and best yet.
Cupid’s is a party + 1 mile fun run at your own pace + more party. We encourage undies, but we get that it’s not for everyone – so just come out and have fun and raise some money for NF research!
You can start a team for your friends, join a team, or run solo. For each friend you sign up, we give you $25 towards incentives and they’ll get 25% off their registration fee.
Noon – Doors open & the party starts!
1:15 PM – Awards ceremony
2:00 PM – UNDIE RUN
3:30 PM – Earned open bar closes
4:00 PM – Bag check closes, Cupid’s officially ends
