Actor Danny Glover made a surprise stop at a Shaw business yesterday.
The “Lethal Weapon” star visited Uprising Muffin Co. at 1817 7th St. NW on Thursday to grab a muffin and a cup of coffee, owner Donnie Simpson Jr. told Borderstan.
“He was extremely nice and very laid-back,” said Simpson, the son of D.C. radio personality Donnie Simpson.
Glover was in town for a gathering Sen. Bernie Sanders had with civil rights leaders at the D.C. office of the National Urban League in Shaw yesterday. Earlier this week, the actor also met with Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport workers to lend his support for their efforts to get better pay.
