The armed robbery happened on the 3000 block of 15th Street NW about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The area is about two blocks north of Meridian Hill Park.
The victims, both 19, were walking in an alley when the man and the boys went up to them, according to authorities. The man then flashed a handgun, telling the victims to give him “everything” they had, police said. One of the teenage boys pulled out a knife next.
The boy with the knife and the other boy with him then went through the victims’ pockets. The trio fled with two iPhones and $150 in cash soon after.
Authorities said they’re looking for:
3 Black/Males, Suspect (1) Khaki pants, black ski mask, all black clothing, gun, Suspect (2) 5’7″, 16 years of age, 140 pounds, knife, Suspect(3) 14 to 15 years of age.
Five thieves also punched and kicked a man in a violent robbery in Columbia Heights early yesterday morning.
The robbery happened in the DC USA parking garage at 3100 14th St. NW about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim was parking his car when five people came up to him and punched and kicked him, according to authorities. One of the individuals then snatched the victim’s keys from his pocket.
The victim soon after grabbed a gold chain from one of his assailants, along with a piece of the man’s dreadlocks. The attackers fled soon after in a BMW car.
The victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment.
Police haven’t released detailed descriptions of the suspects.
