French Pastry Shop to Open in Dupont Early Next Week

A patisserie specializing in trendy French pastries is set to open its doors soon in Dupont Circle.
Un Je Ne Sais Quoi is on track to open early next week at 1361 Connecticut Avenue NW, said the shop’s co-owner, Aude Buisine. The patisserie is currently waiting on approval from the D.C. Department of Health and the Department of Regulatory and Consumer Affairs, she said.
When it opens, it will serve merveilleux, a light French and Belgian pastry made with meringue, ganache, whipped cream and shavings of chocolate. The pastries will be sold in a variety of flavors such as chocolate, speculoos and coffee.
The pastry shop will also sell croissants, a menu addition made by popular demand according to Buisine.
