Columbia Heights Staples to Close Next Month

Staples is set to leave Columbia Heights in a month.

The office equipment store at 3100 14th St. NW in the DC USA retail development is scheduled to close April 9, according to a sign posted on a window of the shop.

The sign thanks customers for their business and apologizes for “any inconvenience.” It also encourages customers to visit their other D.C. locations at 1901 L and 1250 H streets NW.

A manager at the store yesterday declined to comment, and a company spokeswoman didn’t return requests for comment.
