Cops Nab Young Man in Adams Morgan Stabbing
An 18-year-old man has been apprehended in connection with a daytime Adams Morgan stabbing that left another young man injured, police announced over the weekend.
Ever Lopez of Northeast D.C. was arrested Thursday and charged with assault with intent to kill in the attack last month.
Heather Shaner, Lopez’s lawyer, declined to comment.
The stabbing happened near 16th and Euclid streets NW on Feb. 8 about 3:50 p.m., according to authorities. The area is just west of Meridian Hill Park.
The 18-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest and sustained a head wound during the assault. The attack possibly was gang-related, according to authorities.
Police initially said they were looking for three people in connection with the stabbing. It wasn’t immediately clear if authorities still are searching for suspects.
