Nooshi on 19th Street Looks to Expand Drink Service to Entire Patio
Patrons who sit outside at Nooshi during happy hour may soon be guaranteed the chance to order a drink.
The noodle- and sushi-centric restaurant at 1120 19th St. NW has applied to serve alcohol to its entire 50-person outdoor seating area, according a recent application filed with D.C.’s Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration (ABRA).
Currently, the restaurant can only serve alcohol to a certain number of people in its outdoor seating area, said Nooshi representative Chrissie Chang.
“They want to serve alcohol to 50 people [outside],” Chang said. “The current ABC license allows the business to serve only 20 people.”
Nooshi serves cocktails at half price during its daily happy hour, making it a popular choice for workers downtown.
