UPDATED: Downtown Street Reopens After Suspicious Package Investigation

(Updated at 4:50 p.m.) Police temporarily closed a downtown street this afternoon as they investigated a suspicious package report, which didn’t lead to the discovery of anything hazardous, according to authorities.

Officers were removing crime tape and leaving from 15th Street NW between K and M streets NW about 4:15 p.m.

Police had closed the blocks during their investigation.
