Logan Circle’s newest eatery will bring chicken wings, oysters and “county fair” poutine  to the neighborhood as soon as next Thursday.

That’s when Veranda (1100 P St. NW) aims to reopen as The Commodore, a new neighborhood tavern developed with the help of Rebellion’s owner, Brian Westlye.

“We are shooting for Thursday April 7th for the opening,” Westlye told us this morning. “Barring any unforeseen issues, that should be a solid date.”

Though Westlye said the restaurant will keep its full menu a secret until closer to the opening date, a sneak peek shared on Facebook earlier today shows the eatery will serve chicken wings, oysters and “county fair poutine,” which is a potato funnel cake topped with duck confit, cheese curds and brandy gravy.
