Volunteers Needed to Help Spruce Up Park View This Weekend

Locals are looking for some help picking up trash around Park View this weekend, according to an email from the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations & Service.

The Georgia & Lamont Public Safety Task Force is hosting its monthly cleanup Saturday. Interested Park View residents should meet at Georgia Avenue and Kenyon Street NW at 10 a.m.

Colony Club at 3118 Georgia Ave. NW is offering free coffee to each of the first 20 volunteers who spend 90 minutes assisting with the cleanup.

Saturday will mark the second time the task force has had a cleanup this year. Last month, the group focused on sprucing up the area near Warder and Lamont streets NW.
