Man Beaten, Pistol-Whipped in Park View Robbery

The violent robbery happened on the 2900 block of Georgia Avenue NW about 3 a.m. Wednesday. The area is just north of Howard University’s campus.

The victim was in front of a corner store in the vicinity when three people punched and kicked him and a man put a handgun to the victim’s head, police said.

“Give me what you got,” the man with the gun said to the victim before pistol-whipping him in the head, according to authorities. The man and his accomplices then took the victim’s wallet and keys before leaving.

The victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities haven’t released any descriptions of the suspects.

Thieves also pulled a gun on a man in a robbery in Columbia Heights last night, police said.

The armed robbery occurred on the 2800 block of 11th Street NW about 11 p.m. The area is about three blocks north of the Francis L. Cardozo Education Campus.

The victim was walking on a sidewalk when three men approached him, police said.

“Look forward and give me your bag and your wallet,” one of the men told the victim, while putting a handgun to his back, according to authorities.

The victim then gave the men his wallet, backpack and cellphone. The men fled soon after.

Police haven’t released detailed descriptions of the suspects.

  • An attempted robbery of an unidentified business on the 3100 block of 14th Street NW about 6:30 p.m. Police are looking for:

Black/Male, 6/0″ tall, mid 40’s years of age, medium build, dark complexion, glasses, black beanie hat, goatee facial hair, gray hair, last seen wearing black beanie hat, black shirt, black jacket.

  • A violent robbery on the 1200 block of 4th Street NW about 6:45 p.m. Police are looking for:

B/M, 6’1′ to 6’2″ tall, 170 pounds, 20 years of age, wearing a black jacket, black pants, armed with a hard object.

  • An attempted robbery of a Subway on the 1400 block of K Street NW about 5:45 p.m. Police are looking for:

B/M, bald head, 6’0″, dark complexion, 40 to 50 years old wearing a black jacket, grey sweat pants and white sneakers.
