MC Hammer Celebrates Birthday at Beefsteak in Foggy Bottom

Vegetarian eatery Beefsteak is apparently 2 legit 2 quit.

Hip-hop superstar and reported D.C. tech investor MC Hammer stopped in at the Beefsteak at 800 22nd St. NW last night, according to an employee there.

Hammer tweeted out a gratuitous photo of his food around 6:30 p.m. yesterday evening.

“Veggie dinner at Beefsteaks [sic] in D.C.,” he wrote. “Look at that ‘Beet Steak Burger’ wow !!!”

“MC Hammer was in the house!” responded celebrity chef and Beefsteak owner José Andrés on Twitter later that evening. “Happy Birthday my brother!!!!”

Andrés has previously tried to convince Hammer to invest in the vegetarian fast casual chain, according to The Washington Post.

“Every time he’s in D.C., he eats five times a day at Beefsteak,”Andrés told the Post in January.
