Driver Rams Car Into Woman Repeatedly in Columbia Heights
The driver of a car hit a woman in Columbia Heights multiple times before she ended up on the hood of the vehicle earlier this week, police said.
The assault happened on the 1400 block of Harvard Street NW about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. The area is about two blocks south of the DC USA retail development.
The victim was arguing with the driver when the motorist tried to drive away, according to authorities. In the process of leaving, the driver struck the woman three times before she got onto the car’s hood.
The woman was brought to a local hospital for treatment.
Police haven’t released any suspect information.
A man also was cut with a knife in an attack in Adams Morgan earlier this week, according to authorities.
The assault occurred on the 1700 block of Columbia Road NW about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim was arguing with someone when that individual pulled out a large knife, police said. The person with the knife then tried to stab the victim, but cut one of the man’s hands instead. In return, the victim punched his attacker in the face.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the man was hospitalized.
Authorities haven’t released any suspect information.
