Man Suspected of Breaking Into Dupont Bar, Taking Booze Filmed
(Updated at 12 p.m.) A man wanted for busting into a Dupont Circle restaurant and leaving with liquor and cash has been caught on video, according to authorities.
The burglary happened in Agora at 1527 17th St. NW about 5:15 a.m. last Monday.
Surveillance footage police distributed late last week in connection with the crime shows a man in a hooded sweatshirt getting into a restaurant through a window. The man then hopped over a bar counter and rummaged around.
At one point, he grabbed what appeared to be a cash drawer and opened it. He also snatched bottles of liquor before leaving.
