International Jazz Day
Dupont Circle Park
Notable jazz musicians Herbie Hancock and Dee Dee Bridgewater will visit Dupont Circle this weekend to help usher in a day of jazz music and educational events across the city.
Dupont Circle Neighborhood
Attendees can take advantage of drink and food specials at eight bars and restaurants across Dupont Circle and the U Street area during the fourth iteration of this annual bar crawl.
Mt. Pleasant Neighborhood Party
Lamont Park (3258 Mt Pleasant St. NW)
Neighbors and representatives from local businesses will meet in the park for a day of fun, food and entertainment.
Chinese Dragon and Lion Dancers
Source (1835 14th St. NW)
Constellation Theatre Company will host a “magical celebration” with a Chinese dragon and lion dancers on the sidewalk in front of Source to promote its newest play, “Journey to the West.”
Art of Adornment Spring Craft Fair
BloomBars (3222 11th St. NW)
BloomBars will host a craft fair planned to have “a wonderful mix of artists and creators with products raging from pottery to jewelry, and from kids accessories to bags and wallets.”
Gay Day at the Zoo
National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Ave. NW)
Families will flock to the zoo for International Family Equality Day. According to this event’s Facebook page, “there will be fun for children and adults.”
