Police Seek Man Suspected of Sexual Assault Near Cardozo

police carAuthorities are on the lookout for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman near the Cardozo Education Campus early Sunday morning.

Police said the man approached the woman from behind, forced her into an alley and sexually assaulted her on the 2500 block of 12th St. NW around 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police are on the lookout for a man described as:

A Hispanic male in his early 30’s with facial hair stubble, approximately 5′ tall, athletic build, wearing dark clothing with long pants and a backwards cap.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.

Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
