Farragut Square Outdoor Film Series to Begin This Month

“American President,” “Mars Attacks!” and other movies with a presidential theme are slated to get a screening in Farragut Square during the next few months.

The Golden Triangle Business Improvement District’s annual “Golden Cinema” outdoor film series is back this month as part of the organization’s free Farragut Fridays festivities.

This year’s “Hail to the Chief” flicks include:

• “American President” on May 20.
• “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” on May 27.
• “Mars Attacks!” on June 3.
• “Dave” on June 10.
• “Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb” on June 17.
• “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” on June 24.
• “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde” on July 1.
• “Clear and Present Danger” on July 8.
• “Manchurian Candidate” on July 15.
• “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” on July 22.

The Golden Triangle BID has set aside July 29 and Aug. 5 as rain dates.
